The flights

American Airlines operates a daily rotation between New York JFK and Jamaica’s Montego Bay Sangster International Airport (MBJ). This hub is the busiest airport in the English-speaking Caribbean, handling almost five million passengers in 2019.

The outbound flight departs JFK at 06:50. The flight takes just over four hours, and, with touchdown in Montego Bay occurring at 09:56 local time, you could be on the beach by lunchtime! The return service departs at 11:14, with the three hours 55 minutes long flight arriving back in the ‘Big Apple’ at 16:09 local time.

American operates the Boeing 737-800 on this route. Business class consists of an exclusive 16-seat cabin at the front of the aircraft, with a 2-2 configuration of reclining seats. SeatGuru reports that the pitch is a generous 37 inches, with width coming in at an impressive 21 inches!
